The last of 19 #CoDefendants to #surrender in the #FultonCounty elections #racketeering case has been released from the #FultonCountyJail.
Stephen Lee, a Lutheran pastor from IL, was booked Fri morning & released after on a $75k #ConsentBond. He appeared to be wearing a clerical collar when he was driven into the Rice St facility.
"Lee wasn't just a pastor who happened to have a political affinity for Trump. He actively misused his authority as a minister to try to gain access to [Ruby] Freeman against her will -- and to dissuade police from intervening."
Lee drove to Georgia from Chicago and targeted election worker Ruby Lee, attempting to intimidate her, and is now facing charges for that reason.

Faithful America has a petition online calling on the president of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, LCMS President, Rev. Matthew C. Harrison, to expel Rev. Stephen Lee from ordained ministry after the role Lee played in Trump's attempt to subvert the 2020 election, for which Lee has been indicted.

Lee appeared unannounced at Ruby Freeman's house, and when she was not there, he left a note with a neighbor telling her time was "running out" and he wanted to help her. Next day, he showed up parked in her driveway. When she very understandably rebuffed him, he then turned to Harrison Floyd of Black Voices for Trump to try to gain a foothold with Ruby Freeman.

Bless his little heart, that good man of God Reverend Stephen Lee only drove down from Chicago to Georgia — over 700 miles — and tried to contact Ruby Freeman because this is what he does as a Christian pastor. He comforts the suffering.
Or at least this is the story his lawyer's peddling now that Lee has been indicted as a Trump co-conspirator.
