Today, I rode my #motorbike in drizzling rain for the first time in a number of years. I’m a fair weather rider. But the bike was booked in for a safety check (for rego renewal) and two weeks ago I didn’t know what the weather was going to be like today.
So, on the wet and greazy road, in peak traffic, on the Hwy I went (and back) for the short 5km ride to the bike shop. I have to say that I enjoyed it just as much as I do riding in the dry. Good tyres help a lot and sensible riding style also contributes to safety (too old for the track these days, too much work and effort).
I’m itching to get back on it again… but I’ll wait for the rain to stop first I think. After a while, a wet arse takes the shine out of the ride… AS much as I love driving the #TinTop, there’s nothing like powered two wheels, lots of power…
