I've finished the rewrites and was finally going to sit down and go through everything. Normally I export the draft as a PDF and use a stylus to write notes for me. The last time I used my stylus was February when I finished #GhostsOfVega. Turns out there was an update between then and now that broke things. Spent the last 3 hours trying to figure it out. I found a way to make notes that sort of works for now.
We're another step closer to Chapter 1 of #StrandedInSpace.
I know its been a while but rest assured I am still working on #StrandedInSpace. I'm about halfway through the rewrite right now but have a little more free time to work on it lately.
I will admit I had hoped to post the first chapter before the end of this month but that's definitely not happening. My schedule in April is hectic but I will try to have chapter 1 out during the month.
To give an insight (and sneak-peek) into the types of revisions I make, here is a line from my upcoming book. The first is the original draft, the second is the edit.
Picture it, Anne and Elijah in the Ready Room. Elijah is fighting with the replicator...again.
Original: "You know it can simply make the coffee for you."
Edit: “You do know replicators have this fascinating capability of making a cup of coffee for you.”
The final chapter of Ghosts of Vega is now out.
This is it, the end of the first book. But the crew’s journey is only beginning.
I’ll be taking a little break and also am working on some tweaks in the next book, Stranded in Space. I’ll of course let everyone know when I start posting the next book.
The next chapter of Ghosts of Vega is out!
It was supposed to be the last chapter but it was also 11,000 words. I didn’t realize that until the end. I’m finishing the revisions on the rest of it and will post as soon as it’s ready. It should be tomorrow or Friday.

After Elijah visits with Willa, the crew of the Canberra finally start their long journey home.

Right now AO3 is down for scheduled maintenance. I won’t be able to post the next chapter this evening. When the site is back up tomorrow morning, I’ll post it.
A bonus this Wednesday. The next 2 chapters of Ghosts of Vega are out. We are finally closing in on bringing Elijah’s past out into the open.
Will he be able to face it and stop the Klingon invasion force headed for Vega colony?
