Hey y'all! I made something again! It's a timer app for locksport speed-picking practice. It has several options, stupid sound effects, and an easy interface (just mash space or any other key to record success/failure on each lock).

Feel free to test it out (I wrote it for Linux. I think it'll work on Mac/Win, but who knows?)

It's permissively licensed unless you're a corporation, AI, or fascistβ€”in which case, fuck you, eat worms

locksport-timer

A simple CLI and GUI round timer for speed-picking practice.

Here's the individual lock times from the app.

A little info about the app: "skips" being -1 means that there are infinite skips (as in I don't get penalized for setting a lock down and coming back to it). The "per lock time" is set to 0, which disables it. If set to a positive number, then I would have that many seconds for each lock before it counted as a failure.

I set out to try my speed-picking tournament software I wrote a couple days ago. The goal? 20 different locks picked in under 10 minutes 😯

So, here's a video of me picking 20 locks in 5:47 πŸ˜‹

Plus another 9 in in 1:19 as a victory lap 😘

Aside from the locks in the victory lap, there were no more than 2 of each model of lock. 8 locks had security pins (BEST, Ace, Brinks, and some of the Masters), 2 had tubular cores (Kryptonite, American), two were warded locks, and the rest were standard.

Thanks again to #RedTeamTools and @deviantollam for some of the tools I used for this challenge (the tubular pick, warded pick, and one of the turning tools from RTT's starter set).

I'll attach the screenshot of the software with the lock times in a reply.
