There are plans for SEGA Japan to release a series of short-form videos based on the Chibi-style designs on TikTok, as teased in a previous Sonic Station Live stream.
"Videos of cute Sonic and his friends will be available on Sega's official TikTok," read a graphic shared by SEGA Japan. "In addition, original TikTok effects will also be released."
SEGA has yet to officially acknowledge "Sonic & Friends".

Looks like a logo for the Sonic & Friends trademark was reportedly spotted in Japan's trademark office, according to Genki, a video game reporter.
Despite initial rumours of a new Sonic mobile game, community translator Windii seems to be convinced that the trademark may be related to an upcoming project based on the Chibi-style Sonic designs.

It isn't known what the trademark refers to, but it's consistent with previous filings from SEGA, as it was tagged with multiple classifications related to video games.
The name of #SonicFrontiers was discovered in a similar fashion, which sparked speculation if it could be related to a new console or mobile video game.
