For the second time now on Mastodon I've posted a Reply about a major problem with a health information Post.

And gotten no response.

If you're soap-boxing and not listening, a simple mistake can leave you looking like a fool.

One thing I'm noticing is how LESS user friendly softwares/apps are getting. Why am I trying to deep dive into the programmer's headspace, like a profiler on a police procedural, so I can figure out where they put certain options? Before, it was clickety-click to file, options. Done.

And I'm not just talking Microsoft. But oof.

Beginning to consider the #EthicsOfMastodon.

Starting small.

Looking at the intersections of #MutingFollowers, #SoapBoxing, integrity, personal safety, pleasant consumption and convenience.

Upfront: IMO there are very often competing, contradictory, and incompatible ethics in play in a situation.
Identifying, describing, re-examining, evaluating, contextualising and weighting all the significant elements is how progress towards an ethical position is made.

I'm looking for 2-or-more way dialogue here.

But twice now when I've tried to warn an apparently mutual (Follower-Followed) about something fairly serious, I've gotten no response.

Which means no dialogue with them is happening. Possibly I'm muted.

But #NoDialogue has them #Soapboxing.

Is there any easy/quick way to Unfollow accounts that are soapboxing?
