No thought about whether the intersection is blocked on the otherside, if there's a obstruction around the blind corner, or if there's pedestrians or bikes crossing.
Additionally a lot of traffic light cycles give both conflicting traffic and pedestrians a green light at the same time.
Daily I see drivers blocking intersections because they chanced crossing when there was no space the other side. Many times I've had to avoid a driver turning through pedestrians.
I reckon it's time for campaign where people cross the road constantly slapping informational stickers on cars' bonnets (US hoods) about what they did wrong and how that impacts traffic flow and safety, where they are trapped in the intersection.

Why am I trying to deep dive into the programmer's headspace, like a profiler on a police procedural, so I can figure out where they put certain options? Before, it was clickety-click to file, options. Done.
