Relatedly, in our overworked culture, one typically spends one’s free time on recuperating from one’s labor. We are too burnt out to engage in taxing, yet enriching, pastimes. We are more likely to binge watch Netflix or scroll through our phone in bed during the weekends instead of training for a marathon or learning a new, challenging skill.
