Regarding #Chornobyl / #Chernobyl / #Chornobylj , let me remind a couple of things which people abroad may fail to remember.
The disaster was not an accident. #Commies wanted to drain a few more watts from the Nature (now y'all tend to blame #capitalism for that, ha?) and ordered a crazy experiment requiring the majority of safety systems in the reactor to be shut down. What could go wrong, indeed?
After the catastrophe, the reaction of #USSR authorities was blatantly poor. #Communists tried to conceal the event and its impact (while rumours, obviously, started to circulate), and in particular, refused to cancel the demonstration of #May1st in #Kyiv. And don't fool yourself, it was not a kind of intrinsically protest demonstrations (as if any other ones made any sense in a free country) you can see them now on #1May in free world, it was a state event, act of #communism idolatry (and yes, if you had decided to fail to appear, the authorities would have QUESTIONS). So yes, they literally pushed people under radioactive fallout for the sake of their deadly ideology.
In #Ukraine, there is an opinion that Chornobyl disaster was one of the nails in the coffin of the #soviet nidus. Hard to say, but it remains a toxic scar on beautiful Ukrainian Polissja, which will poison the nature for centuries.

And not forget that in order to fulfill the experiment in 1986, the employees ultimately had to disable the majority of automatic safety mechanisms of the station - indeed, what could go wrong?
The #Chornobyl #disaster has not only happened shortly before the dissolution of the #USSR - it quite significantly contributed to it, because a lot of #Soviet citizens had a possibility to see once again an obvious truth so thoroughly hidden by #communist #propaganda - #commies don't give any single minimal fuck about their life, health and well-being.

no the reason is much simpler, #Germany had SEVERE #economic problems and 1929 #stockmarket crash #USA demanding all loans back from #Germany made it worse + a (#money) #corrupted #Democracy (yes it happened before) destroyed a lot of #trust of the people
in #economic (!) desperation (and possibly other problems) they voted for #extremists as a kind of last resort (stupid) idea to fix things and in the beginning #Hitler did fix some things like #unemployment and #hunger in the #cities, but of course the #madmen had bigger goals, like rule the planet, no matter if he killed everyone in the process
