KevI hope if we ever get another Mannequin movie that it continues the formula of The Fabulous and Talented Brown Queer is living their best life and when they see some unconventional magic love nonsense, they go all in to Making It Happen because They Love Love and Making It Happen almost as much as their fabulous career, many lovers, and generally nobody has a problem with them. The Heart of Hollywood Montrose will live on in people who were inspired by him when they were young (nieces/nephews, parent was a coworker and they hung out at the store a lot, etc), so it could be one person, or it could be a WHOLE TEAM of fabulous folk (one or two of them could be straight, depending on the size of the team) of all sorts just being like "I remember Hollywood's stories, I always believed, IT'S GO TIME~!"
The magic rules don't have to match the previous movies, it's about the prop-work, the dumb situations, and being queer and committing varying levels of crimes in the name of bringing an "unconventional" relationship into perceived normalcy.
It would be nice if the destined lovers were queer, and if not, at least not, like, another brown haired white guy and another blonde white lady (unless either or both of them are trans of course). What's Elliot Page up to these days..?
