@guardian this turned out to be a fashion article. The nerd in me really wanted to learn about the scientific argument for one or the other lol. Oh well, still fun read. My vote is #ShoesOff to minimize germs and just keep a cleaner home overall

Growing up I recall the feeling of bemusement when visiting “shoes off” households.

Having been a “shoes off” household for 15 years I can’t believe I grew up wearing shoes inside the house.
