The produce in regional Victoria really is amazing. Daylesford is especially lovely for the small producers who sell their goods at the weekend market.

Small is good :)

I often amuse myself by just taking photos of our gang taking photos :)

We wrapped the workshop today. Sharing a few more pics here from the weekend. Yesterday started with a trip to the farmers market in Daylesford, and loads of luscious sunlight :)

"What matters more, the camera or the photo?"

One really really special moment on this workshop is when everyone sees a large scale print taken on their camera, usually for the first time ever.

Folks don't realize just how good their cameras really are. Some are shooting with $15,000 cameras, versus this Nikon at maybe $1500. The photos don't look so different.

More than anything this workshop is a chance to delve deep into light. It's probably one of the best workshops you can do to grasp control of your photography. The basics apply to most every other aspect of your captures, but food is "still life" and just a lot easier to experiment with.

Food doesn't run away when you bring the camera out! Always start with the right light.

We don't half enjoy ourselves on these events. Here Shellie is making kanelbulle for a shoot... And we get to eat them while still warm :)

Easily my favie moment of the workshop. Load everyone up with maple syrup and coffee at brekkie then rummage through the prints from the weekend and celebrate with a group shot.

There is nothing quite like being a part of people takimg a step closer to reaching their goals.

At the last light of day we met up with some of the local piglets. They love a camera lens. I hold it down low and they come up close to say hello. A lens looks a bit like a snout maybe :)

Forgot to mention earlier, these images captured with the new 50mm F1.2 by Sigma. Love this little lens!
