Last of the Sun Dried Yunnan Red from the Ho Yum Summer blind tasting club this AM. With a little age, it seems to be edging away from fruit and towards a more typical savory-perfumey-malty strong black tea flavor profile.

It was no real surprise that tea no 4 from the summer 2023 Ho Yum Blind Tasting Club was a Yunnan Sun Dried Black Tea. What was surprising was what a fine example of that type of tea it is.

Inspired by his Mom's tea drinking habits, in 2021 Peter from Pu-Erh.SK had his Thai producer process some of the Maocha intended for Puerh as red tea. He calls it "Red Wine" and the name is entirely appropriate. On the fruity/herby side of black tea with great length of flavor and resteepability.
