Candles for #Shabbat
We may not be a religious household, but my husband observes several #Jewish rituals as a way to connect with his heritage and help structure his weeks a bit. I must admit I enjoy watching and playing a minor role, too (usually the lighter).
Listen, Shabbat candles bring light to the world and connect us with generations of women who lit the way for us. Some people have candlesticks that are precious family heirlooms passed down from mother to daughter. Others use new, hyper-modern ones.
