Digging out some old toys from the stash, I found I still have these guys. They are some of the earliest sex toys I ever bought. Probably sometime between 2003 and 2005.
The feline toy was made by Zeta Creations and the K-9 toy by Furry Style. The quality of them is laughable compared to any of the modern fantasy toys on the market today. The colors are bland, faded, and there are huge bubbles visible.
Comparing them to modern examples is absolutely night and day.

Before penicillin took off in the mid-1940s, STDs were a bigger deal because they were much harder to treat. There were campaigns in both world wars warning of the dangers of VD, and syphilis in particular.
