@[email protected] I'm excited that I got my winter shots so early in the season! Also excited about having multiple #sewing classes and #SewDays coming up over the next 6 weeks.
@popchicken
Oh, enjoy the pub! The #sewing will wait until you're ready! I did a couple of sewing weeks in the summer and I'll do 2 3-day retreats in November, as well as taking sewing classes and attending some #SewDays so I'm mostly taking September off!

Thanks for the challenge. I've learned that for myself, sewing doesn't fit easily into little pockets of time/space. I need a few hours of time and a generous physical area in order to work my way through a project. Fortunately, I've been able to find this with classes, retreats, #SewDays, and the #makerspace at my public library.

@strayhorse My summer #sewing season has been BUSY with a couple of #SewDays and a second week of sewing in a quilting shop. I'm trying to decide what to focus on this week. My mind is always full of potential projects but I don't actually want to do ALL of them!

Agreed. I'm doing regular #SewDays so I have time (and LOTS of fabric) to try different things. Next project is to clone some of my knit garments, now that I have lots of thrifted fabric and experience with a few makes under my belt.

I've got the pattern for the #HinterlandDress and chose it because it's very hackable. I also bought the course, which I found helpful (pricey!) for figuring out various aspects of bodice fitting. Sadly, I haven't yet designed my perfect bodice but I have lots of used white sheets and #SewDays ahead so it will eventually happen. I really like the comfort of a dress that flares out above the hipline.

I have to sort out my gear and pack my car since I'll be doing 3 #SewDays this week at a sewing shop. Although I occasionally sew a few seams at home, my productivity is far higher when I leave home to sew! I finished a #StasiaDress last week that I'm super happy with so I'll probably cut out another with more thrifted fabric. I also have linen for a second #MossJacket that I'd like to at least cut out. That would mean actually sewing with #GoodFabric! First one went well.
