Since I couldn't watch #SentimentalValue or #SecretAgent (because they're foreign language films, in whole or part, & because my streaming channel lacks the subtitle tracks), I decided to watch #BlueMoon instead.
This movie stars #EthanHawk, who plays the songwriter #LorenzHart, who is holding court in a bar & talking virtually non-stop. Quite a change of pace for Hawk, who I normally associate with #actionmovies
Hawk is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in "Blue Moon," as are Timothรฉe Chalamet in "Marty Supreme"; Leonardo DiCaprio in "One Battle After Another"; Michael B. Jordan in "Sinners" & Wagner Moura, "The Secret Agent".
I've now seen all of these performances, except Moura in "Secret Agent" & among these nominees, I like Jordan's in "Sinners" best & I hope he wins along with the movie for Best Picture.
We'll see . . .

The first award of the night was presented by Amy Madigan who had a long career, including some truly excellent work. She is married to another fine actor: Ed Harris.
Best International Film was won by #SecretAgent, a movie from Brazil that was also successful at the #GoldenGlobeAwards.
