PSA: If you’re ever wished to use Script Debugger (from LateNight Software), there are bad news and good news.

The bad news is that, as of a bit of more than 13 months ago, it is no longer being developed or supported.

The good news is that they have made Script Debugger 8 available to everyone, with a key that you can get from their website. They have also made available all non-Classic versions, from version 4.0.

It is a terrific tool, and it’s worth you trying it… while it still works.

Literally bought a #ScriptDebugger license just a month ago and it's already being retired.

Given #Apple's track record, it'll probably break with the next major #macOS release in the fall.

I've never been a heavy #AppleScript user, although I was actually paid to write one a long time ago. I remember that I tried a demo of #ScriptDebugger, and I liked it, but I couldn't justify spending the money. Now the developers are retiring, and I'm looking forward to playing around with it once it becomes free.
