@fugumaki Oh, ha, #ScreenReaderUser problems, I heard leopard. Your idea has merit; I'll seriously consider it. It's true about guide dogs; this was much less of a problem when I had one.

I learned that in order to help make mastodon more #accessible, capitalizing the first letter of the separate words in your multi-word hashtags allows a #ScreenReaderUser to get words as output instead of a letter soup!

Any other helpful tips you've picked up here beyond CW usage and Alt Text?

@Tam5 As a #ScreenReaderUser , I appreciate when hashtags are readable in this way! I also read #braille ; words in hashtags that are capitalized are faster to read because I read in #Grade2Braille , which means that certain symbols correspond with certain letter combinations for faster reading and writing! Braille takes up a lot of space otherwise.
