El Crystal School, San Bruno
Miss Watson's 2nd grade class 1971.
I remember most of these kids' names, but not all. Can you find me? My niece was PTA secretary when this school closed a few years back and she retrieved dozens of binders showing class photos for decades.

I'm scanning a whole bunch of slides showing the demise and demolition of Playland (SF's Amusement Park at Ocean Beach) from 1972. One of my only memories of it is a birthday trip to the zoo with one of the kids shown here. No idea how we ended up at Playland. Only the Fun House was open but it was the end of the day and my mother wouldn't let us go in as she was worried that we would miss the bus for the epic journey back to San Bruno via greyhound. While traveling home, I had to make a transfer from BART to Caltrain. My transit app directed me to exit BART at San Bruno, then walk about 15 minutes to the Caltrain station.

I wondered maybe the app didn't recognize that despite Yellow Lines tranis from Pittsburg/BP terminating at SFO, there's this weird offshoot of the Yellow Line that goes between SFO and Millbrae? At any rate, I decided to try this route instead for a change.

Near the Caltrain station, there's this brightly-lot casino. I've never been there, but whenever I drive on 101 at night, I can see it from the freeway.
