Auction of controversial African art collection in Houston again halted by 11th-hour court filing
The apparent owner of 1,400 pieces of African art, which once were housed by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, was granted a temporary restraining order Thursday to prevent a court-ordered auction of the collection. A previously scheduled auction was called off when Sam Njunuri filed for bankruptcy.
