Safety Stop makes streets safer for people biking

I admit I had often proceeded through a stop sign before we got the Safety Stop law here a few years ago. The one time I got in trouble was when I ran a stop sign near home, without knowing a police car was right behind me. I got away with a verbal warning, with the officer saying "At least slow down a bit, okay?"
