A funny story from the world of scams and money laundering called cryptocurrencies - a few years ago investors in #SafeMoon, one of the many companies in the industry, were scammed. There is a rather inefficient investigation going on in the US but most of the suspects and the company’s assets have disappeared.

Today it emerged that one of the company’s major shareholders Kyle Nagy has been living for some time…. in #Russia (what a surprise!). In accordance with the principle of ‘grab the plundered’, the Russians started to ‘shear’ the American who came to them with $200 million themselves.

A total of $4.5 million has been extracted from him so far on numerous ‘peace of mind’ fees. Justice has been very slow on this one, but nice to see the long dick of the law finally in action.

According to the report, Smith stole $77 million, Karony stole $55 million, and the creator "only" stole $275k.

How was there so much money just given over to scammers with no oversight?

Even if you're a pretty straight edge guy, the temptation to access amounts of money like that would be so great.
