Canela de Souza Godoi of UNESCO insists we should fight the narrative that “innovation” cannot go hand in hand with protecting human rights.

@HenriVerdier starts by noting that “The Tragedy of the Commons”, mentioned before, is capitalist propaganda that one should probably not cite seriously. :-)

Bastien Guerry fait rire la salle en racontant qu'après une rupture sentimentale, il avait utilisé le mode doctor d'Emacs pour avoir une aide psy, qu'il avait trouvé une bogue, et qu'il avait proposé un patch, et que c'est comme ça qu'il avait commencé une carrière de contributeur au logiciel libre.

Problème intéressant pour #SoftwareHeritage : si le code a été généré par un LLM, est-ce sensé d'archiver le code plutôt que le « prompt », qui est le vrai code source ?

Archiver le code traditionnel peut vite faire déborder l'archive, si les LLM regénèrent tout le code à chaque fois que le prompt change.
