I’d wondered why one of my favorite shows suddenly disappeared after a blisteringly good season. This video details how Swat Kats came together, how it was shivved because of corporate politics and American hypocrisy of “violent TV.”

Swat Kats came at a special place in my life and I credit it to sparking my love for heavy metal and grunge music.

However, much like most great things – they are making a comeback. In a surprise twist, the creators managed to hold on to the rights of the original IP.

I am eagerly looking forward to the comic and what it might ignite. Add this to my 2026 anticipation list.

T-Bone and Razor probably have gotten hurt on the job before - and even if by some miracle of gods they did not, they still probably need some doc, if more so for general health check ups then anything.

And I think they could use some allies who know of their side hustle - hence, a doctor.

She doesn't get involved with the major fights, definately less so then Callie. Her role is more Leslie Thompkins or the Night Nurse, patchings up the heroes when they need it.

She probably figured their IDs out after spotting a familiar set of stiches she did to a SWAT Kat (probably a wound bad enough that holding out till they got home was not an option and Doc Clawford wasn't too far away from them to help) on one of her patients when he came in for a yearly physical.

In some ways, this makes things easier and harder. Easier, that they don't need to lie about their more serious injuries they got during battles and can get some proper medicine to help them heal. Harder, because she will go full Mom Mode and yell "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT STUNT?!" when they pull of their more crazy stunts that do leave injuries that she now has to help with. She does, but she will probably rant while helping, because she cares about these two dumbasses with big hearts.

I was watching a video essay from this guy, Serum Lake, on youtube, about this guy from Superman the Animated Series, who got put into a robots body, with questions if he was still himself or just memories in a metal body and got me wondering...

Mac and Molly Mange, the two flesh and blood kats, are dead. Mac and Molly Metallikats are their memories/consciousness in robot bodies.

The average kat might still treat them like living people, just shinier and deadlier.

But what if you were a witch and your understanding of 'living' included things like souls, which a witch might at least be able to sense, if they are skilled enough?

And if you couldn't sense any such soul in either of the Metallikats?

Well, looks like Mac and Molly are about to find out what Mayhem thinks is the right course of action.

I figure being good at a sport would be good for Marie, to help in fights. And tennis seems like a good choice - given she has a staff she can swing to both shoot out spells and smack enemies.

So, Marie is having a good match, with someone - friend? coach? groupmate? random kat who agreed? idk yet - and guess someones car must've broken down, for a tow truck to drive by, huh?

Green eyes take in the surroundings of her new home, ears perking up at the sound of jet engines. soaring through the sky.

I drew my little witch arriving in the city, with the TurboKat in the sky. And also did my best actually drawing a city-ish backdrop. I don't know if big buildings would be around a community college, but it's MegaKat City, where a bunch of weird stuff keeps happening.

I tried to hardest to make the TurboKat look good. I don't know how people do it, it is so hard!

Which is about as much as she can handle, because, let's face it, this girl is a civilian that can do magic - she is not equipped to be fighting big time baddies.

So, no, she would not be fighting Dark Kat or anything of his caliber, they would cream her.

But taking out the mooks or protections so that the heroes have an easier time stopping them - that is more of her wheelbarrow.

Because if you hear 'BOOMF' and 'HUZZAH' from a different room when you're a mook, you're gonna investigate - which only leads you to getting smacked and knocked out.

And in turn, Razor can sneak in easier - even if he has no idea why the bad guys security is so lax at the moment.

Here she is, The Witch of Mayhem!

Or rather, here is Marie Sharpe, moving into the campus dorm she’ll be living in for the time being.

First time Marie is seen outside of her Witch-Persona.

And being a witch, she is good at making heavy work light - meaning levitation.

Though, considering she’s living in dorms (bit plain, but she’s still moving in, give it time), how does she plan to hide the witchy stuff she has?

Now, you might notice slight differences between Marie and The Witch, but these are part of her hiding her identity - moving bangs backwards and making magic keep them there, the shadow hiding her eyes.

I did decide to give Marie cheek tufts, because I think she looks cute with them and magic can let her smooth the fur down to give her a different look, in addition to the shadow mask and glowing green eyes.

And it all adds up and helps hide her identity better - especially if I stick with the idea that the first Witch of Mayhem outfit was a slapdash from what she had on her and could find around her to keep her identity a secret.

All Hallows Eve - so of course something's gonna happen. It's Megakat City, when does something NOT happen?

And this year, a strange and unnatural creature has appeared and is causing major havoc. But what is it? Conjured up by the Pastmaster? Unleashed evil like Mad Kat? Manic mutation by Dr Viper? Alien from outer space?

Nobody knows or is confessing at least.

Regardless - the SWAT Kats are here to do their best to catch and stop it in its tracks.Hopefully before anyone gets seriously hurt.

At least they have some help, in the form of a witch, Mayhem.

SWAT Kats is an old, old, old love. It predates most of my favorites and I still have some fond memories even if I recall nothing else of that time.

So, I've been trying to come up with an idea for an OC for years that can fit into the world. It only occurred when watching The Owl House that there aren't any good magic users in Megakat City (sans Queen Callista (because she's from the past) and [for more see original description post: https://www.deviantart.com/winxpossible/art/Arrival-of-a-Witch-918959238], so I decided to rectify that.

So meet Morgaine Sharpe, Marie for short. She's a young witch just finishing her apprenticeship under a more experienced witch and is looking for a place to stretch her wings and have some fun.

But it's Megakat City, you know a bad guy attacked and was causing a large amount of damage. And Marie's not a big enough of a bitch to let people die when she can do something.

But she's also a little shit, so some chaos will happen if only because she finds it funny - like the fur color change at the start.

Marie's more Good Samaritan then vigilante or hero, so she didn't have any sort of alias planned out, people initially referring to her as The Witch, but she eventually calls herself Mayhem - partially because she nearly slipped up and said her real name and had to swap to something else and, in the end, it does fit with her M.O. to cause trouble to others regardless of sides.
