We blew on our fingers & #stamped our feet to keep warm. The temperature was plunging and a mean wind was fingering its way into our coats.

"Let's take the shortcut over Craven Hill," Terry said.

But on the hill the sly moonlight confused us. Paths appeared & vanished; we got all turned about. I couldn't stop shivering.

Until suddenly the coldness lifted, leaving me warm & tired. Time to sit & rest. Then Terry cried "There! car lights! C'mon."

So I'm alive today.

I just finished reading Stamped from the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi via text and audio. Really good work it presents a vey history and contextualizes so much well worth reading/listening to. I feel it filled in so many important gray areas of history and centers on going from racism to anti-racism and ending where we are in that trajectory and how much more we need to do! #books #racism #antiracism #history #stamped
