Very sorry to miss the plenary, but @krysiawally and I heading are off to Bristol for #SOCREL. Thank you to everyone at #CCDS #DisabilityImpact23 for the fantastic range of papers, research & ideas shared. Always fantastic to take part in disability studies events.
Home from two days of #DRUK board meetings (which were fantastic - working in disabled-led collaborative spaces is a total joy). Now I've got 3 days to flop before I need to finish preparing for #CCDS and #SOCREL conferences, and then running between Liverpool and Bristol in one week - this time with friends for company and co-presenting. (My broken wheelchair hoist is now fixed, otherwise that could have been quite the challenge!)
I've put my Twitter on my #SOCREL poster (along with Masto), because my researched community is overwhelmingly still there. The poster is about how vital participatory research & knowledge exchange are in this field, so I go where they are (even if I use Twitter less now). Many disabled Christians in my research felt like they were "the only one" before they found an interpretive community on Twitter & understandably fear being isolated again. Still worried about social media gatekeeping though
