At this point we have all the #data on #ChildAbuse in the #TroubledTeenIndustry we need. We don't need #SICAA to help with that. SICAA is a distraction, a poison pilled piece of legislation, that replaced the work we were doing on a #BillofRightsForKids. It was sabotage by #MittRomney and team.

I wish #SICAA worked and #ParisHilton was in this for the right reasons but she isn't and SICAA won't work and likely just gives politicians cover for years while we "wait on the data" which won't include #Christian #Catholic and #Mormon or aka religious #Schools in the #TroubledTeenIndustry.

In closing if #SICAA was to work it would only be because Senators and House Reps decided the information about the trauma & abuse of children mattered to them enough to pass state or national legislation and as of this date to most of them it does not matter and they've been given that info already

By comparison we were designing legislation together that would require these basic things and more: 3 meals a day water always available Reasonable work conditions Limitations on restraints used ETC #SICAA does NONE OF THAT We were told "it won't pass". What basic rights for kids?! Wont pass?!

We have the #GOA. That is essentially what #SICAA is trying to be. We don't need SICAA and we never did. It is the poison pill shoved down survivors throats after #ParisHilton decided to get in bed with the architects of the industry she says she is trying to oppose.

First of all, religious #TroubledTeenIndustry programs are already basically not monitored or studied and this legislation #SICAA does nothing to require them to be studied. In fact it will likely serve as a feel good reason to not revisit this subject in the future; something I warned against.
