Well, the Giants do it again beat the Padres tonight 4-3, extending their win streak to 9 but it's how they did it which was admirable from a baseball POV.
DeScalfani gave up 3 runs in 5 innings but Beck & T. Rogers hold the Padres scoreless for the rest of the game and Giants CLAWED their way back 1 run at a time.
In the 4th w/the bases loaded Conforto hits into a DP which scores 1; Padres lead 3-1.
In the 7th, Crawford hits a single scoring Matos. Padres lead 3-2.
In the 8th, Pederson hits a SPLASH HR. Game tied 3-3.
And, in the 9th, Matos walks, Bailey singles & Schmidt walks to load the bases and then Pederson is walked scoring Matos. Giants win 4-3.
How the Giants won this game reminded me of the the following quotes from movie "Moneyball":
“You get on base, we win. You don't, we lose."
“When your enemy’s making mistakes, don’t interrupt him. Let him keep going."
