The govt is going to fund levees and sea walls in a bid to prevent destruction by floods and rising sea levels. Sounds good, but does it make sense? With global warming unchecked, the waters can only get higher, with more and more, higher and higher structures needed to keep it contained. Water levels only have to get 1-2 cm higher than the walls and you have widespread destruction all over again.
