Last Monday (22nd) I woke up to no internet. #NBNAus came out the next day and discovered the cable to my house had been eaten through by something (mice/rats most likely) and was buried deeply where it couldn't be accessed to fix.

I heard a rumour they were supposed to come out and dig a hole yesterday but still no sign of them.

Luckily we were away for a few days but the rest of the time I've been working via my phone hotspot - not ideal, so now I'm just waiting and hoping this won't last forever.

I think I'll look into connection backup options once I get my access back.
