I'm normally in favour of architectural conservation, but this is ridiculous.
Regardless of long term plans for the Rotunda Hospital there's a pressing need now for this facility.
The regeneration of Parnell Square could start today with the existing buildings, except there is no will for it.
Needlessly blocking necessary infrastructure to preserve some fantasy idyll is insanity.
