🧠 Another one of my favourite buildings! I love the classical style built with modern materials (concrete with brick cladding). This was from the same outing as the one I posted last night.
⭐I like the shadows of the brancehs on the bright left side and the contrasting shaded side.
➡️ I'm sure I could make the colours 'pop' more but I still nee to learn better Lightroom use.

schneckenhausVon der Kuppel der Rotunde aus liegt Xewkija in klaren Linien zu Füßen. Die flachen Dächer, engen Straßen und hellen Mauern fügen sich zu einem ruhigen, fast geometrischen Muster. Zwischen den Häuserzeilen blitzen kleine Gärten und Innenhöfe auf und dahinter lässt das niedrige Profil der Insel den Blick frei über Felder, Dörfer und bis zur Küste schweifen.

Die Rotunde von Xewkija mit ihrer markanten Kuppel ist schon von weitem sichtbar: sie hat den viertgrößten Durchmesser einer Kirchenkuppel in Europa, übertroffen nur vom Petersdom in Rom, der St Paul’s Cathedral in London und der Rotunda in Mosta hier auf Malta.
