Rodolfo Ortíz - uno de los grandes maestros del arpa paraguaya, instrumento profundamente arraigado en el folclore del Paraguay. Se trata de un instrumento que, a diferencia del arpa de concierto, no tiene pedales, pero sólo puede ser tocado por los virtuosos más hábiles. Rodolfo Ortíz fue embajador musical de Paraguay y se presentó en escenarios de todos los continentes. En 1954 Rodolfo Ortiz fundó su primer conjunto. Junto con Alberto Aguirre y Roberto Torres comenzaron como "Trio Ypacaraí" y pronto el grupo se hizo popular en toda América Latina, desde Paraguay hasta Argentina, Chile y Brasil. Las grabaciones del "Trio Ypacarai" marcan el inicio de una verdadera leyenda musical paraguaya. ¡Así que este álbum celebra no sólo el arte del "Trio Ypacaraí" sino también de Rodolfo Ortíz, un gran hombre y un destacado virtuoso del arpa paraguaya!

Rodolfo Ortíz - one of the greatest maestros of the Paraguayan harp, which is an instrument deeply rooted in the folklore of the country. It is an instrument that - in contrast to the concert harp - has no pedals, but it can be played only by the most skilled virtuosos. Rodolfo Ortíz was a musical ambassador of Paraguay and appeared on stage on all continents. Back in 1954 Rodolfo Ortiz founded his first ensemble. Together with Alberto Aguirre und Roberto Torres they started as "Trio Ypacaraí" and soon the group was popular all over Latin America, from Paraguay to Argentine, Chile and Brasil. The recordings of the "Trio Ypacarai" mark the start of a true Paraguayan musical legend. So this album celebrates not only the the art of "Trio Ypacaraí" but also of Rodolfo Ortíz, a great man and an outstanding virtuoso on the Paraguayan harp!
