up on the roof, out on the street / down in the playground the hot concrete /
bus ride is too slow / they blast out the disco on the radio…

gonna be another quickie today. I’m wiped out from all of the wedding planning and the event itself. I figured I would pick an obvious one that plenty of my social media friends also love. in my mind I kinda group the first four Ramones’ albums together. I love them all, but Rocket to Russia is and was my fave.

I imagine the Ramones don’t sound so revolutionary to 21st century ears, but believe me they really were at the time. the Ramones were a template for so much that followed. they were very much one of the most important bands of the 20th century.
