Drei kleine Felsenkirchen (San Micidiario, San Nicoliccio und die Crucifix Chapel) sind in den Fels gehauen und stammen aus byzantinischer Zeit. Interessanterweise wurden diese christlichen Kirchen vermutlich in die frühgeschichtlich Nekropole integriert; diese Umnutzung von prähistorischen Gräbern zu religiösen Stätten zeigt, wie Geschichte und Kulturen sich in diesem Gebiet überlagern.

In den Sassi finden sich zahlreiche Felskirchen wie Chiesa di San Pietro Caveoso, Santa Maria de Idris und San Giovanni in Monterrone. Ihre Fresken zeugen noch heute von tiefer religiöser Prägung. Manch andere in den Fels gegrabene Kirche wurde später zu Wohnhäusern oder Lagerräumen umgestaltet.

Absolutely sickening details. SDPD and the Rock Church (one of the local #megachurch es, and considered one of the more "moderate" as compared to say Awaken despite their sharing the same #Christofascist roots and ideology) conspired in a horrific act of #childabuse - not only refusing to see/report/arrest, but offering the abusive parents tools to do more #abuse

These parents turned their home into a concentration camp for their own children, and the SDPD and Rock Church helped. And no, I am *not* trivializing or throwing those words around lightly - they literally inflicted identical harm to their children that nazis did to their prisoners. If you don't believe me, read, but I am not responsible for you ignoring the CWs and now knowing this, too.
