Day Two - Tarago to Sassafras. (The purple leg in the map below).
A beautiful cycling day. Pleasantly cool with light drizzle. Rather large hills though, and I suspect I have triggered some tendonitis in the knees.
Overnight was a lovely, remote campsite 4km off the main road. With no car noise and no mobile reception. Bliss!

Day One - CBR to Tarago, complete!
First day of long haul cycling (76km .... a lot given my lack of preparation!) in years. And ..... not too bad. Will see how the joints pull up in the morning....
But I trust a daily dose of ibuprofin and panadol will get me across the line! Seemed to work OK today. :-)
Pleasantly cool, light rain, some tail winds, and a delicious lunch and coffee in Bungendore. Overnight tonight at the Loaded Dog where I am likely to sleep the sleep of the just before heading off at sparrow's on the morrow.
Aiming for a cheeky, free bush camp somewhere around Sassafras. TBC.

"Activism group Rising Tide says multiple people have been arrested at an anti-fossil fuels demonstration in Newcastle.
"Thousands have attended the multi-day protest, where Midnight Oil front man Peter Garrett delivered a speech and performed.
"The demonstration is expected to continue until Sunday evening."

"More than 100 people have been arrested in Newcastle for allegedly defying directions by New South Wales Police during an anti-#FossilFuel protest at the world's largest coal port.
"Dozens of protesters on kayaks and small water craft paddled out on Newcastle Harbour on Sunday morning.
"Standing on the beach, a police officer using a loud speaker told those gathered on the sand they could be breaking the law if they entered the shipping channel.
"NSW Police said just after 10am on Sunday a large group of people entered the shipping channel and interfered with the movement of vessels.
"As a result police said 138 people had been arrested after refusing to comply with a direction to move away from the channel.
Thousands of people have gathered in Newcastle over the past few days for what activism group Rising Tide has called 'the people's blockade' of the world's largest coal port.
"The police operation on the harbour is continuing and police aren't ruling out further arrests.
"'NSW Police will adopt a zero-tolerance approach to actions which threaten public safety and the safe passage of vessels,' a statement said.
"Rising Tide has declared the protest action successful, claiming the paddle-out forced a bulk carrier to turn around and not enter the port."
