Farewell to Richard Romanus (1943-2023).

From MEAN STREETS (1973) to THE SOPRANOS (as Dr. Melfi’s husband) and tons of episodic TV, he was always unforgettable.

My favorite role: as a psycho pursuing Valerie Harper in the TV movie NIGHT TERROR (1977).

Actor Richard Romanus has died at 80. Romanus began his film career in 1968's "The Ghastly One", and first appeared on TV in a 1970 episode of "Mission: Impossible". He may be most recognized today for his role on "The Sopranos" as the husband of Dr. Melfi. In his later years, he and his wife moved to Greece which he chronicled in the 2011 book "Act III: A Small Island in the Aegean".

#Rhoda s1e10 (1974) - 5/10
#PamelaBellwood (#Dynasty) guests.

1️⃣ So, Rhoda is now married to Joe. And, as he gets more screentime, it’s really clear that Joe isn’t funny/likeable. He’s actually a bit of a grouch. In this episode he hurts Brenda’s feelings. Also, the newlyweds have no chemistry.

2️⃣ #RichardRomanus (who played mob boss Tommy Tedesco on both #TenspeedAndBrownShoe and #TheATeam) guest stars as a colourful undercover cop. Funny guy. Would have liked to have seen that character again.
