WASHINGTON (AP) — The IRS failed to pursue mandatory audits of Donald Trump on a timely basis during his presidency, a congressional panel found on Tuesday, raising questions about statements by the former president and leading members of his administration who claimed he could not release his tax filings because of the ongoing reviews.
Neal posted a notice on Friday of 3 p.m. Tuesday closed-door meeting in consideration of documents protected under Internal Revenue Code Section 6103, the law that protects the documents. There is expected to be a vote on whether to release some data from Trump’s tax returns from 2015-2020, including the possibility of sharing the filings.
