Should have posted this in order...

On the ferry ride over, we got my Mom her lifer Pigeon Guillemot (no picture, sadly), and I got my lifer #RhinocerousAuklet, but only after I went back and looked at my pictures. They're not very good, but Rhino Auklet was lifer 468, so I'm including it. we also don't get many breeding plumage Loons on the coast, so it's always a treat to see them, even if it's only distant views of a #CommonLoon.
There were also several groups of #SurfScoters flying around.

A new to me #seabird... Apparently the #RhinocerousAuklet is quite common around these parts, but I didn't know! It may be that my gaze has swept past them on other excursions, not recognizing that they were a bird I wasn't familiar with. Because I thought I was pretty familiar with all of the local birds.... An important reminder to not assume I know so muchi... A good gift. Thank you, small friend. #LekwungenTerritory #OgdenPointPier #birdphotography #birds #birding
