A big step toward a more accurate English #Bible came on #ThisDayInHistory in 1946, when the first part (the #NewTestament) of the #RevisedStandardVersion was published. It corrected numerous errors of the flawed #KingJamesBible & introduced some changes from ancient manuscripts.

Our Divinity Library just opened a small exhibit on "Biblical Scholarship at YDS: A Bicentennial Retrospective" which traces the development of the biblical studies faculty and includes records of the committee that produced the Revised Standard Version Bible.
