#DVontayeMitchell, 43, died of #RestraintAsphyxia along w/the effects of cocaine & methamphetamine, the autopsy found, noting that Mitchell was restrained by multiple people after he had used drugs.

The findings “demand immediate charges” against the security guards involved, the family’s attys said in a statement released by lawyer #BenCrump.

The #Milwaukee County DA’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday morning.

The death of #DVontayeMitchell, a #Black man who died after he was pinned to the ground by hotel security guards in June, was ruled a #homicide by the #Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office, which released its final report on Mitchell’s cause of death Friday.

Mitchell’s family called for charges against the hotel #SecurityGuards who were seen holding him facedown in Milwaukee.
