Love this little addition to a Strong Winds warning sign I spotted near the Rest And Be Thankful during a quick hillwalking trip to the Arrochar Alps yesterday. However, I failed to find the plaque marking the spot where the fictional Barry from EastEnders was pushed to his death by the equally fictional Janine. Scotland has some weird stuff!

A brief update to advise that the A83 at the Rest and be Thankful has been closed due to an on-going #DebrisSlide on the hillside.

Traffic is being diverted onto the A82/A85/A819 whist the situation is on-going.

There are lots of old roads in Scotland which could relatively easily be repurposed and in most cases it would be a lot easier and pleasanter than putting infrastructure alongside the existing busy road
eg Dalmally to Loch Awe

A simple solution to the #RestAndBeThankful but no, build a new #road instead. I ask you.
