Andrew Jackson was an ethnic cleanser. Through the Indian Removal Act, thousands of Creek, Choctaw, Cherokee and Seminole were killed while being rounded up and transported west.
Let’s take down remaining monuments to white supremacy in Seattle and start to rename Jackson Park.
We’ll be regularly posting all the messed up stuff Andrew Jackson did until we rename this park.
Starting with the fact that he owned 161 enslaved people. 😡
