New paper out! In 'Beneath the Necron Masks', now published Aegyptiaca 8, I apply historical game studies methods to Egyptology rather than my usual medieval studies, and talk about how the Necrons of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War reflect popular ideas of ancient Egypt in their game mechanics.
