🎄 #AdventOfCode is a great way to develop your programming skills, since it makes you think about problem-solving in a different way than you're used to (at least for me).

Any #Rchaeologists participating this year?

Rchaeologists on Mastodon

A list of Rchaeologists in the Fediverse

#Introduction time!
We are a community of archaeologists who are anywhere from novice to avid #Rstats users!

We boost archaeological research using R for any part of the analysis (if it's open!), and occasionally post useful (and often useless) tips on using R.

We're also creating a list to help #Rchaeologists find each other.

It's been a while, but I can finally get back to working on using R for ground-penetrating radar data (using the RGPR package). It's been absolutely incredible so far and the developer is very happy to communicate features and fixes. My goal by Christmas is to wrap it in a Shiny app for ease of use.

@nicky_garland In my defence my mum and brother live in Kansas City and I grew up in north-eastern Kansas, so I'm not a fair-weather fan! We've suffered a lot to enter the sunny uplands of playoff wins and Super Bowls :D

Although I'm an early medievalist, I used some R magic on Iron Age and Roman material to establish background patterns for my thesis. There are a few #Rchaeologists on here now, so I'm really excited

@joeroe Nice to see you here, Joe! Looks like I'll be moving instances.... I've followed a lot of R Geospatial and other R folks, but no #Rchaeologists yet.. time to run that up the flagpole and see who salutes
