The shower head in the main bathroom was broken, so we had to get a new fixture. We decided to be fancy and get a rainfall shower head. That + on-demand heated water + shower bench = I live in the shower now.

Fell asleep with one Soot Sprite in my lap. Woke up with one Soot Sprite in my lap and one Soot Sprite draped across my torso.
A++ would recommend
I have a standard sized pillow. J has a king sized pillow. We sleep on a king sized mattress. This means that there's a decent gap between our pillows if we line each one up with the left and right sides of the bed.
And that is where #RavenBaby likes to sleep at night. It's kind of nice!
What isn't nice is #SirSqueakertonTheFirst, nightmare child, deciding to JUMP ON HER at five o-friggin-clock in the morning. Right by my face.

I forgot to feed the cats last night, so #RavenBaby woke me up at 2:00 by gently pawing at my face with only a couple of claws.
She's such a self-rescuing princess.
In her last weeks of life, #FateAKAChicken was gong to the vet three times a week for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It was hundreds of dollars per visit.
A year after we found her, #RavenBaby got very, very sick. She had to have her gallbladder removed. It cost thousands of dollars to save her life.
Pet expenses can be extremely unpredictable.

‘Don’t have a pet you can’t afford’ I’m sorry that in 2009 I was not able to predict that private equity was going to eat all the vets in all the cities I live in Seriously, I am doubtful I will have a pet after Mila. I have some means, and it’s hard and getting harder. I don’t understand how people are supposed to afford children.
