There’s no reason to think anyone read the initial review, so here’s an oblique boost. In the unlikely event someone is reading this, Crab Apple, a #YouTube channel that specializes in “all things culty and hip – whether #exploitation cinema, #ArtHouse fayre, #cult programming or the downright #bizarre” has just looked at Sweet Movie. As is usual, the #camp host decries the #bourgeois attitudes that meant it couldn’t be shown in Britain, and how all things Seventies were better than today’s too-PC snowflake masses could endure.

If you like the “#Sleazy, Cheesey , Brash and Breezy [this channel] is your one stop shop for retro heads and those with an eye for the daring and bizarre. Best suited for an older age group.” It has reviewed #HammerHorror films and Emmanuelle, #Timeslip and UK’s The Avengers, #RadleyMetzger’s films and The Omega Factor. So if you like British #CultTV and scifi TV, or gory films with nudity, you might like the channel.

2023 movie viewings, #12. I have this vague memory of once catching this 1978 film in the middle of the night once in the early '80s, back when my hometown first got cable television when I was a young teen and the films on heavy rotation had a huge effect on my budding film sensibilities, but then never watching it again because it had some scene in the middle of extreme gore that I couldn't remember now but that had freaked me out enough at the time to never rewatch it. So imagine my pleased surprise, then, when coming across
