I used to listen to a lot of podcasts, but lately I haven't been having the attention span for it.

Therefore, I hadn't really tried out Alex Goldman's new(ish) podcast: Hyperfixed. I'd listened to one episode, but because of the lack of focus, I didn't listen to much more.

Decided to try again this weekend with the latest episode: Little By Little.

It was fab. This episode had exactly all the ingredients that my brain needed to give it its full attention. Music, mystery, tech, history, science, typography. Glorious.

By way of comparison, #Radiotopia, which is great, sent me three solicitation emails the entire month of December. Which, to be clear, is still two more than I would have preferred to receive, but it's a far more justifiable and less annoying pace than five in five days or three in one day.

I’m a huge fan of PRX and Radiotopia and really believe in what they do.

They just had an auction to raise money. I already donate, but one of the items was getting to do the Sonic ID, the chimes followed by β€œby P-R-X,” for the month of December for all their shows.

Well, friends, get ready to hear my voice saying three letters at the end of some of the best podcasts and radio shows ever.

Een paar weken geleden ben ik beginnen luisteren naar de #podcast #EverythingIsAlive en vandaag kwam ik aan de laatste aflevering. Ik hoop echt dat er binnenkort een zesde seizoen komt. De gesprekken met de sok, de fopspeen, het schilderij, de tatoeage, de lantaarnpaal en de krant waren zo mooi, maar beluister zeker ook de andere interviews. Wie nog op zoek is naar een #PodcastTip, kan ik Everything is Alive aanraden. In iedere aflevering wordt een object geΓ―nterviewd alsof het een echt personage is. In het eerste seizoen passeerden een colablikje, een lantaarnpaal, een kussen, een stuk zeep, een lift, een zandkorrel, enzovoort. Het is grappig om de wereld vanuit een ander perspectief te bekijken. Tegelijk is het ontroerend, hartverwarmend en leerrijk.
