#RCF2023
This weekend at #RCF2023 has really inspired me. Yes, IT'S PROJECT TIME!
I want to work on something I can bring to the festival to show people next year. But what?
That new word processor I keep mentioning?
A "finished" PsiDrive with integrated RP2040 and voltage booster?
A brand new SSD with FPGA or RP2040?
Fully emulating a Series 3 on a Raspberry Pi Pico?
Something else?
OK, some of those are a bit ambitious, considering my skillset. But the world needs more #Psion and I'm bringing it.
Back home now. It's been a fantastic weekend. I feel privileged that I've been able to do two things: talking to people about something I love, and have people talk to me about things that they love.
If you get a chance to go to the Retro Computer Festival next year, I highly recommend it. I'll make sure that I mention it well in advance next time!
I took a load of photos with my "good" camera at the start of today, but they'll need processing so I'll post them in the coming days.
Absolutely blown away by @quazarsamcoupe's work on the #samcoupe. Developing hardware, software and a monthly magazine!
A very good day at the Vintage Computer Festival today.
Met loads of fantastic people, many of whom had stories about how they used #Psion kit back in the 80s and 90s - serial terminals, diaries, programming tools.
Plus, it was really nice that people let me waffle on about my favourite vintage computing ecosystem.
So... We do it all again tomorrow!
So, this is going well!
How gorgeous is this #RC2014 logo when rendered by an RC2014 on a Tektronix vector storage display? Good work @stepleton
Retro Computer Festival 2023 is go!
